Breakaway Skating was created with one goal: to be the leader in
skating instruction for the communities we serve. Over the years, we
haven't rested on our laurels. We've stayed actively committed to that
leadership role with expanded schedules and locations, enhanced lesson
plans, new teaching techniques, and new equipment to keep our programs fresh
and exciting.
It seems the goal of many skating schools and associations is high enrolment. That's a logical and legitimate business goal--with unfortunate trade-offs. Crowded ice limits students' movement, and less interaction with instructors hinders their progress.
Because our goal isn't high enrolment, we actually limit registration. Of course it means less students, but it also means a less intimidating, safer environment to move, learn and have fun. Breakaway's unique programs combine skating-skills instruction with ice-sports skills, while maintaining an average student/instructor ratio of 6:1.
Our loyal clients and instructors are the heart and soul of our company. We are proud that our vision and efforts continue to provide them an opportunity to share and experience the passion for skating and ice sports.
